Hannover Messe 2018 and CeMAT 2018
From 23 April to 27 April 2018 Hannover Messe comes back, the Hanover Fair which brings together commercial and energetic technologies and shows the whole value chain.
Like every year, the fair takes place in Hanover, in the specific exhibition area of the German city. Mexico is the partner of Hannover Messe 2018.
For the first time, this year, CeMAT is taking place simultaneously at Hannover Messe. CeMAT deals with intralogistics and supply chain management and steals the limelight on companies that deal with complex automated transport systems, automatic identification systems, industrial lift trucks, energy saving, IT logistics and many others. The union between CeMAT and Hannover Messe aims to take stock of the situation on Industry 4.0.
Jochen Köckler, president of the Board of Directors of Deutsche Messe stated: “The integration of automation technology, IT platforms and machine learning will take Industry 4.0 to the next level”. This level includes new forms of business, new models of collaboration, a dissolution of the barriers between different sectors, new working positions and an increase in productivity. The way of working and live will change.
The main topic during the five days of the Hannover Messe will be Industry 4.0 and all the topics connected with this like automation, human-computer interaction, digitization, interconnection and energy. Köckler highlights that automation and digitization will lead to automated warehouses: all the aspects of these spaces will be controlled by a software and the robots will move there no-stop to fulfill all deliveries. Currently, in fact, in the retail sector there are few automated processes despite supply chains have increasingly complex logics and customers want to touch product as quickly as possible. According to a survey by consultancy BearingPoint, eight out of ten companies in the German manufacturing sector are already comparing themselves to connected supply chains and this is essential to continue to be competitive. Digitization and energy are connected because digitization changes energy market, making it more flexible and connected to other sectors. The Hannover Messe shows how an efficiently use of energy can reduce costs and safeguard the climate.
Companies and start-ups at the Hannover Messe
Köckler’s words are not only words, in fact more than 30 exhibitors are going to present solutions to improve the supply chain such as Jungheinrich which is going to present order picking systems, Pepperl+Fuchs its technological solutions for identification, Unimax those of augmented reality and HARTING its Industry 4.0 solution known as MICA (Modular Industry Computing Architecture) which allows the installation of special modules directly on the machines involved in the production chain in order to demonstrate how digitization projects can be quickly and easily implemented.
In the Hannover Messe 2018 there will be the “Young Tech Enterprises”, a space dedicated to startups where they will illustrate what they do and show their products benefiting from the interest of possible investors and the attention of medias.
During the Hanover fair, the focus will not only about Industry 4.0, but also about other topics, such as the role of women in companies, a theme that has been successfully treated during the fair for 15 years. Working women, women managers, senior figures in politics and in the industrial sector will be invited to discuss topics such as diversity, work-life balance and women who hold important job positions. Finally, there will be meetings in which people will discuss about how social media and the Y generation are changing the labor market, how demographic change affects this world and how best to manage private life and work.
Five days not to be missed to discover how the industrial sector is evolving and how this evolution will change our daily lives. For entrepreneurs there will be five days not to be missed to choose in which technologies and integrated solutions it is important to invest to increase their own business.
The appointment is in Hanover from April 23 and Consulthink will be there to provide its customers innovative and reliable solutions as usual!
